Bring In. Build Up. Send Out.

On May 17, 1917, our Trustees purchased the lot where our present church is now, on the corner of South 8th and West Water Streets.  Actual construction of our present building was started in the summer of 1917.  A year later the lot where our former parsonage building stood was also purchased for the purpose of erecting a new parsonage next to the church.

The first service actually held in our present church building was a prayer meeting service in the ladies Parlor just before Thanksgiving Day in November 1919.

Celebrating 175 Years

Did you know... that we were the first Methodist Church in Mayfield beginning in a log cabin on the corner of 8th and Broadway?  And... it was 175 years ago in 1833?  That's right, we are celebrating 175 years of Methodism in Mayfield. You will not want to miss this BIG celebration starting on Sunday, November 2nd.  We will be having a "History Trivia"  moment in each morning worship service leading up to our Celebration Sunday on February 22, 2009.

Please make plans to attend. Everyone is welcome. Come worship with us and learn more about our great history.

If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 247-5678.
